There has been som discussion lately in some other blogs on how to quote from electronic sources, se e.g., Bible Software Review WeBlog and NTgateway Weblog.
I have always found it important to have correct reference-'formulas' from electronic sources; there is no reason not to use electronic sources in scholarly works, and we now see they are present in e.g., some more recent dissertations. I have now added a link on this page to The Columbia Guide to Online Style. On my own Resource Pages for Biblical Studies I have had a similar link for years. This latter link is somewhat old (1996; means ages back in cybertime....), but it may still be helpful.
