Jim Davila has a posting on Philo being mentioned in the press: an article in the Arutz Sheva cites Philo in a call for passive resistance to Sharon's disengagement plan. Jim has this note from David Meadows who provides the link to Arutz Sheva article. The article is a stern voice against the Sharon plans, and draws on Philo's description of The Jewish opposition to the plans of Gaius Caligula of erecting a statue in the Temple of Jerusalem. Hard reading in several ways.
