Biblioteca d'Alessandria

The Internet is full of surprises. One might presume that a website called Biblioteca d'Alessandria would led one to the Library of alexandria, or at least have something to do with that institution. But not so with this one: Biblioteca d'Alessandria is "a cross-platform system, composed by a set of very handy and fast tools, designed for building digital archives of any complexity, from the personal archive of a single researcher up to the repository of a big institution, such as a University or Research Centrer. It is based on a peer to peer network and is compatible with the Open Archive Protocol (OAI-PMH)." The site is interesting in itself, but not if you look for the ancient or modern library of Alexandria, not to say Philo....:-) Have a nice day!
