I am still in the process of updating myself, and discovering things on the web that may not be quite new to all of you, but maybe some,- including myself.
Today I discovered that the
Semeia archive is made public, and at the same time, the the Semeia Journal has been closed down, but followed by a book series called
Semeia Studies. The announcement on the SBL site runs:
The journal, Semeia, has become a book series: Semeia Studies. The series continues Semeia's experimental approach to biblical criticism and advances its outstanding intellectual accomplishments.
The final issue of the journal is the double issue, Semeia 90/91: The Bible in Asian America, edited by Tat-siong Benny Liew and Gale A. Yee, which was published in 2002. The interesting thing is that the former articles published in Semeia is now online, and free. Some of these are also relevant for those of us focusing on the Judaism of the western Diaspora. Enjoy.
